IBM | Red Hat Seller Enablement
Project type
Sales Enablement Platforms
Date
Spring to Summer 2020
Location
New York, NY
Role
Content Strategist and UX Designer
The Ask: IBM acquired Red Hat in the summer of 2019 and started using a sales enablement platform, Seismic shortly after as a key source of information for IBM Partners and Sellers. This project specifically focused on IBM and Red Hat and hybrid cloud offerings.
The Approach: This is a project that has been revisited and revised and refreshed as IBM and VSA Partners continued to gain more familiarity with Seismic. The first of these projects was the Run Book Refresh, which involved redefining and reorganizing the dashboards for Sellers and Partners, but since executing a deal is a quick process, we streamlined this even further down to one page—the profile page.
The Result: This project set the standard for other enablement teams building their own profile pages as well, so other teams had their own one-stop shops for assets. The collaboration and decisions made between the VSA and IBM teams created the template for the rest of the organization.
The Win: This project pushed me. The deadlines were tight, the subject area was complex, and my expectations included content strategy, content writing, and UX design. It was a lot of work, but I gained the trust of the client to work with them to solve their problems and pain points.
